Yá’át’ééh. Greetings!

As the Business Development Specialist for the Aneth Community Development Corporation (Aneth CDC), I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. This position allows me to work with entrepreneurs and emerging businesses along the service areas of the Utah Strip and its chapter communities on the Navajo reservation.

My name is Malcolm Benally. I am Yé’ii Dine’é Táchii’nii, (Red Streak Running) born for Tó Áhaní, (Near to Water). My maternal grandmother is Tlízí Lání (Manygoats clan) and my paternal grandfather is Nakaii Dine’é, (Mexican clan). My home community is Forest Lake, AZ in the heart of the Black Mesa region on the Navajo reservation.

As a Business Development Specialist, it is my job to provide technical assistance to entrepreneurs, organizations, planning groups, or a person interested in a business loan and/or wanting to expand their business. I will help you overcome whatever obstacles you may face in getting your business to the next level. If you need a business/marketing plan, I can help you explore the many possibilities and opportunities that exist for new and emerging businesses. Once you begin to develop a thorough business plan, the planning enhances the ownership and authenticity of your business idea. This way, I believe Navajo businesses develop and become more visible in the community - for marketing purposes as well.

I’m particularly excited to join the Aneth CDC lending institution because of their “client centered technical assistance” philosophy as a new Native Community Development Financial Institution. I feel their goals and mission are innovative and such organizations are needed Navajo Nation wide. Please review the enclosed brochure that provides the Aneth CDC loan product and service areas. I hope I can meet with you to discuss your goals, hopes, and aspirations as a business owner or potential business owner.

If your Chapter would like me to present information about our programs and my work as a Business Development Specialist, I will be happy to schedule a time with you to present this information at your Chapter Meeting or a scheduled public event for businesses and organizations. Please be informed, you are always welcome to visit with me at the Aneth CDC office in Montezuma Creek, UT. I can also come to your business location and discuss your concerns. You can contact me by email at malcolmbenally@anethcdc.org or phone (435) 651-3358 if you want to set up an appointment.

I look forward to working with you to realizing your business idea. Please call as soon as you get a chance, and if you can, please forward this information to someone you know that may need my services.

Ahéhee’! Thank you!

Malcolm Benally, Business Development Specialist
