The organization was founded in August 2004 to support start up and emerging businesses through development of Navajo communities along the Utah strip. ANETH CDC STAFF 2007/2008
Angela Davidson, Accountant/Loan Officer – Ms. Davidson brings over 15 years experience in accounts receivables and accounts payables. Most of her experience focused on collections & accounts receivables. Angela studied marketing & accounting at SIPI in Albuquerque, the Crownpoint Institute of Technology in Crownpoint, NM, and she studied Indian Resort Management at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. She was a part of the Tribal Advocate Program at Navajo Community College in Tsaile, AZ. Today at Aneth CDC, Angela provides loan services and helps coordinate our Individual Development Accounts, the IDA program. Malcolm Benally, TA Success Coach – Malcolm studied English and Navajo Language at Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University. As a Business Development Specialist at Aneth CDC, Malcolm provides client centered technical assistance for start-up and emerging businesses along the Utah strip of the Navajo Nation. In collaboration with Into the Mud Productions, LLC, funding from the Soros Documentary Fund, and the LEF Foundation, he co-produced Bitter Water: Diné Chronicles of Resistance, a 20-minute documentary sample cut and a current documentary work-in-progress. He is project director for the Bitter Water Documentation Project: a digital humanities initiative supporting community and economic development within the Black Mesa region and now in the Four Corners area of the Colorado Plateau. His project is currently funded in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities’ We The People grant.
